Founder · Chief AI Architect & Storywriter
Jamie Atkinson founded the present-day Atkinson Film-Arts Ltd. in Toronto in 2025. He leads the company’s strategic direction and the integration of artificial intelligence, infrastructure, institutional knowledge, robotics, creative production and human-centred design.
His role spans AFA’s sovereign AI and Physical AI direction, the proposed Reference Lab, Marbles Cognitive OS, Microsoft Copilot and agentic-system architecture, the Atkinson Academy, Studio intellectual property and the company’s broader vision of Animated Intelligence.
His background combines architecture and design, computing, film and storytelling, and systems thinking. He studied architecture at the University of Toronto, an experience that continues to influence AFA’s emphasis on environments, human behaviour, spatial systems, institutions and the relationship between technology and the physical world.

AFA’s current founder-led structure means several areas of responsibility remain intentionally connected.
Long-term direction, business architecture, priority markets and the relationship between current services and developing capabilities.

Product vision, Living Intelligence, institutional continuity and the public/private boundary around implementation details.
Atkinson Studio, original intellectual property, story worlds and the integration of film craft with intelligent systems.
Ensuring public descriptions distinguish what is available, developing, proposed, demonstrated or research-oriented.
Keeping human judgment, institutional authority, usability and meaningful outcomes central to technology decisions.
AFA does not use placeholder executives, inflated team descriptions or advisory relationships as implied endorsements. As the company grows, leadership and specialist roles will be added when they are active and verifiable.
Customers should know who owns architecture, claims, creative direction and escalation at every stage of an engagement.
Legal, regulatory, clinical, cybersecurity, engineering and other specialist authority remains with appropriately qualified parties where required.
Atkinson will identify the responsible next conversation and who should be involved.
